Enrollment for the 2019–2020 school year is now open.

Applications for the 2019 new student cohort will be accepted between January 1 and March 31. For informational purposes, the steps to the enrollment process are described below.

The enrollment process consists of the following steps:

1.  Learn about the Blue Water Middle College Academy:

A)  Explore the BWMCA website, especially the "About BWMC" page.

B)  Read the "Student/Parent Information" document linked to at the right.

C)  Attend one of the evening presentations at the partner high schools. (Schedule below)

D)  Attend the BWMCA Open House on Saturday, Feb. 9th. (Details below)

E)  Contact any of middle college staff member listed on the home page with questions.

2.  Interested students must submit an application no later than March 31, 2019.  *Note: Yale students must submit an application by Tuesday, February 19th.

3.  Students who apply (and at least one of their parents or guardians) meet with a middle college staff member for an enrollment interview. The goal of the interview is for students to get an individualized picture of the benefits and challenges of becoming a middle college student.

4.  After the interview, students deciding to enroll must sign an agreement acknowledging expectations and requirements of Blue Water Middle College Academy.

5.  SC4 placement testing must be completed in the spring along with other registration requirements.

Overview Presentation Schedule

Blue Water Middle College staff will present information and answer questions about the middle college program.  Dates noted with an asterisk (*) indicate that other program and course options for students will be presented at the high school that evening.

While some of the information shared will be specific to the school hosting the presentation, most of it is applicable to students from any partner high school or current homeschooled students.  You do not have to be a student at the host school to attend the session there.

*Blue Water Middle College presentation part of an evening where other options for current 10th grade students will be presented at the high school.  Contact your high school or look for announcements about the evening as the date gets closer.

BWMCA Open House

The BWMCA Open House is scheduled for Saturday, February 9, from 10 a.m. until noon at the middle college office in the Applied Technology Center building on the campus of SC4.  Here is a link to a map of SC4's campus.

Meet BWMCA staff and current students to learn more about the middle college and have your questions answered. Refreshments will be available, and you can visit some of SC4's buildings while you are on campus.

Directions for submitting the completed application are found at the bottom of the document. If you fax the application, please call the middle college at (810) 989-5841 to confirm it was received.

The deadline for receiving applications is March 31, 2019.
(The deadline for Yale students to apply is February 19, 2019.)
