Enrollment for the 2021 cohort is now open
Applications for the Blue Water Middle College Academy 2021 cohort will be accepted between January 1 and March 31, 2021.
Enrollment Process
The enrollment process consists of the following steps:
1. Learn about the Blue Water Middle College Academy:
A) Explore the BWMCA website, especially the "About BWMC" page.
B) Read the "Student/Parent Information" document (link at the right).
C) Participate in an online overview presentation about the Blue Water Middle College that is tailored to students at each of our partner high schools. (Schedule to be posted below)
D) Contact any of middle college staff member to have your questions answered. Our names and contact information are listed on our website home page.
2. Interested students must submit an application no later than March 31, 2021. *Note: Yale students must submit an application by Tuesday, February 16th.
3. Students who apply (and at least one of their parents or guardians) must meet with a middle college staff member for an enrollment interview. The goal of the interview is for students to get an individualized picture of the benefits and challenges of becoming a middle college students.
4. After the interview, students who decide to enroll must sign an agreement acknowledging the expectations and requirements of the Blue Water Middle College Academy.
5. SC4 placement testing must be completed in the spring along with other SC4 registration requirements.
6. New students must attend our new student orientation in June.
