12th Grade Sessions

This page provides links to the session summary videos and other resources supporting the content and information shared at the 12th grade  Success Sessions.  Click on the link to the session you missed or want to review.

Note:  The 12th grade Success Sessions are geared to students in their 2nd year of the middle college.  Students not affiliated with one of the BWMCA partner high schools might be in 10th or 11th grade, but because this is their second year of the program, they are still expected to participate in these sessions.

Success Session 1 - September 14, 2018

The fall Success Session for 12th grade (2nd year) middle college students included the following:

  • New and announcements 

  • Updating your Educational Development Plan (EDP)

  • Demonstration of Office 365 applications and the new way of accessing SC4 email using Outlook

  • Importance of completing all SC4 courses and demonstration of online tutoring schedule

  • Near term and long term planning:

  • Completing final High School graduation requirements
  • Completing your SC4 degree: Planning tools and processes
  • Brief look at planning now for success after the middle college and SC4
  • Review of SC4 registration process

Students who did not attend Session 1 are required to view the video below and complete and submit the related assignment posted below the video.  The assignments are designed to be sure that all BWMCA students are presented the information at each Success Session and can put the information to use.

Only students who did not attend the session in person must submit the assignment.


Directions: Submit your updated EDP using one of the two options described in section 1 below.  Email your responses to questions 2 and 3 to Ms. Whymer at whymer.traci@sccresa.org.  

1. EDP Update Update your Educational Development Plan (EDP) using the Word or PDF documents emailed to you by Ms. Whymer.  Each section of the EDP is explained in the video.

You can either enter your responses into each section of the Word document, save it, and then email the Word document to Ms. Whymer as an attachment, or...

You can print the Word or PDF version, fill it out by hand, and drop it off in the middle college office.

A.  What is the main reason BWMCA students do not earn their SC4 associate degree at the end of grade 13?

Use the online Tutor Schedule as demonstrated in the video to answer the following questions

B.  What is the name of the SC4 tutor who is in the library from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays?

C.  Can SC4 tutor, Calahan, tutor students in accounting (ACCT)?

D.  Can Calahan tutor students in math?
