Requesting Transcripts

As a middle college student who has taken multiple college courses, new colleges and universities will likely ask for your college (SC4) or high school (BWMCA) transcript or both.  Below is information about the two transcripts and how to request them.  It is important that you understand the difference between each one and which one is being requested by the new schools.

Your High School Transcript

The Blue Water Middle College Academy (BWMCA) is your high school of record.  Your high school transcript must come from the middle college.  The transcripts you would get from the partner high schools will be incomplete and will not include your graduation date.

The fastest way to send your BWMCA transcript is digitally through the Parchment website.  Access to Parchment is set up and demonstrated at the beginning of grade 13.  If you need access earlier than that, contact Mr. Ruiz at ruiz.matthew@sccresa.org.

Requesting your BWMCA transcript via parchment:

  1. Go to parchment.com.
  2. Login with your SC4 email address and the password you chose when you set up your parchment account.
  3. Follow the steps to order your transcript to be sent to the college(s) you want.
  4. BWMCA staff will be notified of your request and will confirm that the transcript in the parchment system is your most up-to-date transcript.  We will then approve it to be sent to the college(s).
  5. A digital copy of your transcript will be sent to the college where it will be available almos immediately for download.
  6. You can check on the status of the order by going into the History section of the parchment.com site.  When it says that your transcript has been downloaded by the college, the delivery has been finalized.

Your College Transcript

Your St. Clair County Community College (SC4) transcript will be needed by future colleges as proof of the following:

  • The college courses you have taken
  • The number of credit hours for each course
  • The grades you received for your college courses
  • Confirmation of satisfying all requirements of the Michigan Transfer Agreement, if applicable
  • Confirmation of any/all degrees or certificates you earned at SC4

Unofficial SC4 Transcript

Current BWMCA or SC4 students can view and print an unofficial college transcript from within their Service Center.  Future colleges can sometimes us an "unofficial" transcript for planning purposes during your orientation, but they are going to need an "official" transcript sent directly from SC4 to them for you to receive credit for courses taken at SC4.  Employers may also require "official" transcripts.

If you need an official transcript sent to a school or employer not found in SC4's online transcript service, call the SC4 Records Office locating in the SC4 Welcome Center building at 80-989-5550.
